Every winter, Wolf Safety Representative, Chad Shafstall, wishes to give back to the community wherever he can. Each year he and his family decide how they are going to help make a difference, and then go about making it happen.
This year, Chad, along with his wife Karla, along with their children decided to help the local Family of God Church with their coat and food drive. The church welcomes donations of food or warm coats during the colder month to give out to the ones who need it most. The church, along with the Topeka Rescue Mission and local Goodwill, are able to provide a little more comfortable winter for several Topekans this year.
Weeks ago, Chad started gathering coats from anyone who was willing to donate including asking people at Wolf for any of their unused coats. Wolf contributed close to 60 coats for Chad, and at last count, Chad had well over 250 coats total as well as several coveralls, scarves, gloves, stocking caps, and Carhart jackets.
With his and his family’s help, many people will be a little warmer this winter.
