This Structure houses critical 345KV Transformer replacement components. This structure was designed and constructed to withstand the direct impact of an EF5 tornado. These transformers components must be available to be moved within hours of a disaster to the locations needed to restore power without the long lead time usually required to procure these pieces of equipment. Wolf Construction assisted with the design, acted as the Construction Manager and self-preformed a majority of the work. Many Topeka based subcontractors furnished services to complete specialized portions of the project scope.
